Allsop LLP and Columbia Threadneedle Investments discuss topics based on Allsop’s 2019 commercial property auction market review from an Auctioneer’s and Fund Manager’s perspective, in the first of two podcast episodes.
Ben Beck, Investment Surveyor from Columbia Threadneedle Investments speaks to George Walker, Allsop Partner and Auctioneer; about how auction as a route to market has delivered positive results both for Columbia Threadneedle’s funds and buyers in the auction room, the type of assets that are suitable to sell at auction, the benefits of the combined private treaty and auctions approach, along with rental and sector growth in the regions including the opportunities that exist outside the South East.
In 2019 Allsop commercial auctions has sold £433m of assets, at a success rate of 85%, with 115 of the total lots sold at £1 million or above.
